We visited the Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort from April 5 – April 12 as a family of four and had an overall wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were treated exceptionally.
On the 2nd day we agreed to go to a presentation – while it is not a pitch for a timeshare, it is a pitch to join the Royalton vacation club – giving you access to over 30 resorts throughout the Caribbean. After having breakfast with one of the staff (Aida) and listening to the offer, we haggled for a few minutes and decided to join. This, unbeknownst to us, upgraded our stay for the week to the Diamond Club. The main benefit we took advantage of was to have a concierge make reservations for us each night at the restaurant of our choosing. Other than that, there is a private pool, beach front, and restaurant for Diamond Club members.
All in all, we had a wonderful vacation and we look forward to exploring other Royalton resorts for years to come!
