We’ve been Travel Smart Members for 3 years now – we usually go to our home resort in Mayan Rivera, but this time it was such short notice – 3 days before leaving and there was nothing available on the airlines, so with the help of the AMAZING Travel Smart VIP Concierge, she proposed Royalton Bavaro! We are so happy she did! She made sure we were well looked after from the help of her AMAZING Travel Smart colleague Shamir! Shamir was so kind to greet us on arrival, to check in with us throughout the week, always making sure we were happy! I think every company needs the kind of employees who always go over and above to make sure you are not just satisfied, but to make sure you are HAPPY!
In the daytime, we enjoyed most of our time at the Diamond Club pool – it was perfect – loved the location, close to Diamond Club rooms, lounge and beside the beach. We even booked a Cabana for a few days – it was so nice to be in the action, yet slightly away – having our own pool/jucuzzi size and waiter for our drinks and food. I would highly recommend booking. Next time we go back we will try and book a cabana daily! The overall service at the Diamond Club pool area was exceptional.
As for FOOD, our favourite restaurant was Hunters Steak House – we honestly had the BEST rib eye and filet mignon ever – we were very impressed! Exceeded our expectations.
The bar service at the Dimond Club pool, the main lobby and Martini bar were all exceptional – never had to wait, staff were extremely friendly and fun!
We throughly enjoyed our morning breakfasts by the beach at the Beach Club Grill – a wonderful view and great variety of food!
And, Grazie never disappoints – great Italian food for lunch or dinner!
Accommodations: We’re perfect! We had adjoining rooms with our children, which we were upgraded to two beautiful swimsuit pool – it was enjoyable at the end of the day to just relax there. If you prefer more privacy, I would recommend to get a swimsuit facing the back of the resort, both are good locations, one you are more in the action, the other is quieter.
We also took our kids over to Memories resort to use the AWESOME waterpark (it’s complimentary as they are associated) – it was a lot of fun – we walked there by the beach, aprox 15 mins – you could take a shuttle if preferable.
We had a fabulous couples massage – probably one of the best massages ever! 55 mins was too short 😉
Overall we had a super vacation, of course 1 week was too short, I think 10 days would have been perfect!
We are so grateful to be Travel Smart members – it was a great investment as we continue to get that extra VIP service that make each vacation special!
